PROPERTIES

The herb acts as an antirheumatic, anti-inflammatory, stomachic, antioxidant, antiemetic, and astringent. It is one of the best herbs for digestive disorders. It acts protectively and soothingly on the mucous membranes of the digestive tract, in heartburn, hyperacidity, and gastritis. Its mild astringency is useful in diarrhea in children. It helps reduce fever and relieve rheumatic pains in muscles and joints. Essentially, it is a kind of herbal aspirin, as it has similar properties, but because it is a mild herb, side effects such as gastric ulcers and bleeding do not occur. Additionally, it has diuretic action that encourages the elimination of uric acid.

USAGE

It is prepared as an infusion. We pour 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb into a cup of boiling water, cover it, and leave it for 10-15 minutes. The infusion is drunk 3 times a day. It is combined with herbs such as Angelica and Willow for arthritis. In the form of a poultice, it is used on painful arthritic and rheumatic joints or in cases of neuralgia.

INGREDIENTS

It is a cool herb with a styptic taste, moist, and drying. It contains in glycosidic form a salicylic aldehyde, spiraeine, as well as methyl salicylate, glycyrrhizin, a flavonoid glycoside, spiraeoside, 10% tannin, mucilage, plant pigments, vitamin C, and sugar.
