Senna / Cassia 50gr

Senna or cassia angustifolia belongs to the herbs traditionally used to treat constipation. In Greek, it is known as senna or cassia. It contains glycosides that promote the movement of the large intestine. It works in synergy with Buckthorn, psyllium, and aloe vera.

In cases where intestinal gas and abdominal cramps coexist, it is good to combine it with anise, ginger, chamomile, fennel, and mint. There is no recommended daily intake for senna!

Precautions during use/interactions:

Do not combine it with licorice. Also, it should not be taken by people with electrolyte disorders, dehydration, or kidney diseases, as well as by patients taking antiarrhythmic, antihypertensive, or diuretic drugs. Avoid supplementary intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding as it may cause contractions in the uterus.
