Therapeutic Properties:

The bitter substances have a tonic effect on the digestive system, especially in weakened organisms.

Excellent digestant in cases of indigestion, flatulence, and multiple belchings. Appetizing and slightly increases blood pressure.

Folk medicine uses it to reduce fever and for rheumatic pains.

Usage:

As an infusion. We put 2 teaspoons of flowering tops in a liter of boiled water and let it sit for 10 minutes. This is tonic for anorexia.

We put a teaspoon of finely chopped root in a liter of water for 8 to 12 hours and drink a cup half an hour before meals. For anorexia, indigestion, chronic gastritis, diarrhea, and anemia.

For rheumatism, we crush the roots with garlic and oil and make a poultice where it hurts.
