Artichoke Leaf 50g
Contains cynarine, scopoletin, inulin, cynaropectin, taraxasterol, phenolic acids (up to 2%) and volatile oil. Additionally, artichoke is considered valuable as a food because it contains plenty of water, proteins, numerous carbohydrates and minimal fatty acids, while being a rich source of calcium and various vitamins (A, B1, B2, C). Artichoke is also an excellent source of magnesium, copper, manganese, phosphorus and potassium. In modern herbal therapy, it is used for the treatment of kidney and liver disorders as well as atherosclerosis. It has been shown to stimulate bile secretion, assisting in incomplete digestion and toning the body in cases of liver insufficiency. Through clinical research, it has been proven that cynarin, which it contains, reduces blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Artichoke has also been used as a styptic, blood purifier, heart tonic, detoxifier, digestive tonic, diuretic, and hypotensive.
Usage: 1 teaspoon per cup of tea, boil water and steep the herb for 8-10 minutes.
